Galveston

Last weekend we decided to splurge and head out to the beach. I love the beach, but I don't think anyone could have enjoyed themselves more than my little man. He was all over the place, and Gramps was his favorite person to explore with. He was so cute and so excited to be there. Looks like we might need to make another trip sometime soon.

Unfortunately I forgot the SD card for my camera, shocking I know, so the few pictures I have I took with my phone before it died. Enjoy!

After the beach we headed out to the pool at the Sunspree for a brief swim (it was really cold) and then headed up to the hotel to get ready for dinner at Rain Forest Cafe. I was a little unsure as to whether Dayton was going to be excited or terrified, but we were in luck- He loved it!

The next day was a huge wake-up call as to how very important sunscreen is. I was and still am fried. So bad that my legs and feet are still swollen. Sunday and Monday (especially Monday) it literally took me hours for the pain in my lags to subside so I could walk. Who knew a sunburn can cause internal pain as well as the external discomfort you usually face. I definitely learned my lesson!

After I was up and walking Sunday we headed for the strand before our journey back to H-Town. A little window shopping and restaurant bopping was a perfect ending to a great weekend!
